Emma Tucci Honored By NJ Athletic Conference

Emma Tucci, a sophomore at The College of New Jersey, has been named Field Athlete of the Week by the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

Tucci, a graduate of Verona High School, was given the award after competing in TCNJ’s Lions Invitational this past weekend. She placed first in a field of 28 competitors in the long jump with a winning ECAC qualifying leap of 5.44 meters. Tucci also placed fourth in a field of 33 competitors in the javelin with a mark of 36.56 meters.

  1. Emma was the best natural female athelete in her VHS graduating class and it’s great to learn that she is continuing her athletic achievements. Why doesn’t TCNJ have her doing the heptathalon? She’s a natural!
