It’s Spring Break But It’s Definitely Not Tropical

Today, after four days of Spring Break for Verona public school students and two straight of pouring rain, the sun finally emerged. But no one would mistake our town for a spring break destination. With a high temperature of 57 today and gusty winds it felt as nippy as fall at the park today; no surprise that the paddle boats had no takers. Tomorrow probably won’t be much different, with more wind and a high of 58. Things warm up a bit Thursday, with a predicted high of 69 with more wind. The weekend promises to be a winner, though, with  sun and temps around 80 on Friday and Saturday, and up to 88 on Sunday. The rain won’t return ’til the kids head back to school Monday, which is only right, after all.
