MyVeronaNJ-Mardi-Gras-Holy-SpiritThe Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit has decided, as Emeril would say, to kick it up a notch.

The church’s annual pre-Lent pancake supper is being transformed into a New Orleans-style Fat Tuesday celebration, complete with Jambalaya and King cakes. The church, which is located at 36 Gould Street across from the HBW field, says there will still be pancakes, and plenty of music and merriment for all ages. The fun and food runs from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, and if you can’t stay to eat, you can get a meal to take out.

Tickets to the event are just $10 for adults, $5 for children and there’s a special $25 rate for a family of four, but you must buy your tickets in advance. Call the church at (973) 239-2850.
