Verona High School students will be putting on the musical “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” at VHS this  Friday and Saturday, and we’re giving you a chance to win a pair of tickets.

The show is completely student-run and directed; even the musical accompanists in the orchestra pit are VHS students. The show is directed by Kevin Ohlweiler; the musical director is senior Emma McFarland, and stage managers are Juliet Carvajal and Kate McGinley. Michael Hardenberg will perform the title role, with Megan Smillie as Snoopy, Kim Castellanos as Lucy, Kirsten Williams as Sally, Alex Karpinski as Linus and Patrick O’Brien as Schroeder. The chorus consists of Annie Downey, Shannon Garner and Amanda Salierno.

The play is a classic Charlie Brown story suitable for all ages. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $10 for adults and will be sold at the door. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.  The Spotlight Players Parents Association sponsors the show and offers guidance and support where needed.

So how do you win those tickets? Answer this Peanuts trivia question:

What is the name of Lucy and Linus’ younger brother, who is usually depicted in a seat on the back of his mom’s bicycle?

The first correct answer sent to [email protected] will receive two tickets to the performance  of their choice.

  1. Congratulations to Alice Martin-McCarthy. Though we got several correct answers (Verona knows its “Peanuts” trivia!), she was the first to e-mail us that the answer is: Rerun!
