The Heavenly Finds Thrift Shop, a ministry of the Church of the Holy Spirit, is in need of gently used spring and summer clothing. The thrift shop, which is located at 94 E. Mount Pleasant Avenue in Livingston, is open almost every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It has been continuously open for almost 70 years and came under the auspices of Holy Spirit when St. Peter’s, the church it was affiliated with, closed in 2021. In December 2023, the shop opened in a different location on the same Livingston campus and customers love the new boutique feel.

Profits generated by the Heavenly Finds Thrift Shop are given to non-profit organizations, high school scholarships, and church ministries. To date, the church has donated over $150,000 to over 40 organizations in Verona and nearby communities. Although many of the recipients help combat food insecurity and youth-related challenges, other organizations that support our community have received Heavenly Finds Thrift Shop donations as well. Organizations that have received donations from the thrift shop include the Verona Children’s Fund, the American Federation for Suicide Prevention, Verona CHILD, Rosemary’s Rescue Ranch and the Verona Rescue Squad and Fire Department.

You may bring donations to Heavenly Finds Thrift Shop (next to the Ritz Diner) and place them in the bins on the porch at any time. for more information about the Thrift Shop, visit heavenlyfinds.org.
