Kindergarten Registration Opens January 8

Registration for Kindergarten in Verona Public Schools will take place next week, from Monday, January 8, through Friday, January 12. Parents whose children will be five years old before October 1, 2024, should register new Kindergarten students during this period. Their students will then be included in pre-Kindergarten preparations and orientation meetings planned at the individual schools in the spring.

Enrollment packets will be available at each elementary school between 7:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. and on the district website. Your completed enrollment form, birth certificate, and acceptable proofs of residence (listed below) must be brought, scanned, or faxed to the school no later than Friday, January 12. Medical forms are due by May 31, 2024.

Acceptable documents for proof of residency:
1) Primary Proof of Residency in Verona:
– Renting: signed, non-expired lease
– Homeowner: current mortgage statement, property tax bill, deed, or HUD settlement statement and
2) Secondary Proof of Residency
– Current utility bill, insurance bill, cable bill, bank statement showing correct address
– Parent/Guardian ID (Driver’s License or Passport) as proof of identity

  1. As I have been asking for decades: Why is Laning Avenue School on Lanning Road? Can someone figure that out? [I went to FN Brown from September 1945 to June 1952…].
