Early voting starts Saturday, October 28, at the Verona Community Center for the state legislature, Verona Board of Education and other Essex County races. Early voting will continue at the VCC through Sunday, November 5. In-person voting is Tuesday, November 7.
Early voting hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
There are 10 early voting sites across Essex County and any registered voter can vote at any one of them. The full list is here.
If you prefer to vote by mail, the last day to apply for a mail-in ballot is Tuesday, October 31. The application for a mail-in-ballot is here. There is a drop-off bin for mail-in ballots outside the VCC next to the Verona Fire Department doors. Ballots can also be dropped off elsewhere in Essex County. If you want to vote in person, you can still do that at your assigned polling place from 6:00
a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Verona will have voting booths at several locations; you can find yours here.
