Verona residents are invited to meet the candidates running for state Senate and Assembly in the newly formed 40th Legislative District (LD40) on Saturday, September 23 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Verona will be voting for new representation, as our town has been redistricted from the 26th district to the 40th district. The LD40 district includes Verona, Cedar Grove, North Caldwell and West Caldwell, as well as several towns in Passaic and Bergen County. This November, the entire state Legislature is on the ballot.
The LD40 Democratic candidates are Jennifer Ehrentraut of Hawthorne for state Senate, and Dr. Giovanna Irizarry of Totowa and Jennifer Marrinan of Wyckoff for Assembly. All three candidates are passionate about making a difference and are eager to meet with Verona residents.
