In March, the Verona Recreation Department’s Office for Special Needs kicked off a monthly activity night for neurodivergent and neurotypical teens and young adults. The next session will be Tuesday, May 16, at the Verona Community Center from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The Young Adult Social Group is open to residents ages 16 to 25, and families can register for it through the Rec Department’s Community Pass system. Participants will be able to create art with a variety of materials provided by the department or play games. The goal is to help neurotypical and neurodivergent young adults to interact with each other and learn from each other.

For more information, see Community Pass or contact Andrew DiChiara, the director of the Office of Special Needs, at [email protected]
