Mrs. Deborah A. (nee Curran) Galife, 67, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, surrounded by her loving family.

Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona on Wednesday, March 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 6:30 p.m.

Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. Galife has lived in Verona for 62 years and graduated from Verona High School with the Class of 1973.

She worked as a waitress for The Nest in Verona and Rascal’s in West Orange prior to assuming ownership of Main Street Cottage in Verona, which she ran for 12 years. After selling her business she returned to waitressing for Jack’s Café in Verona.

Mrs. Galife was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ruth (nee Tombs) Curran.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John L. Galife; her loving children, Sarah Casella (Craig) and Michael Galife; and her cherished grandchildren, Addie and Sam Casella. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Burd (Geoff); sister-in-law, Maryann Post (Randy); and nephew, Alex and niece, Celeste.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Shore Animal League America, 25 Davis Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050 in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
