Gerardo “Gerry” G. Carpinelli, 57

Mr. Gerardo G. Carpinelli, Jr., died on Friday, November 11, 2022 at University Hospital in Newark. He was 57 years old.

Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Monday, December 19 from 9 to 11 a.m. Services will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, at 11:30 a.m.

Born in Orange, Gerry was a lifelong resident of Verona and graduated from Verona High School with the Class of 1983. While at VHS he played football.

Since 1990, Gerry was a general contractor and owner of GGC Handyman in Verona.

He was predeceased by his parents, Giacomo G. and Consiglia “Connie” (nee Amato) Carpinelli.

Gerry is survived by his daughters, Sarah E. Evans and Anna Carpinelli; his sister, Nicolina (Nicki) Carpinelli, and brothers Anthony Carpinelli (Dee Dee) and Giuseppe (Joseph) Carpinelli (Laura); and his niece, Valentina Carpinelli and nephew, Giancarlo Carpinelli.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the college education fund for Anna Carpinelli would be greatly appreciated. Checks should be made payable to “529 Franklin Templeton Fund” and mailed to Anna Carpinelli, 26 Gould Street, Verona, NJ 07044.
