Verona Girl Scout Troop 20528 will again be holding a holiday toy drive for children in need in our community. They are asking that new, unwrapped toys be dropped off in their donation box at the Learning Express toy store at 643 Bloomfield Avenue in Verona.

For the first time this year, donors can pick up a gift tag at Learning Express and shop for a specific child. General donations are also welcome. The Girl Scouts will be collecting the toys until Friday, December 16.

Last year the group collected over 300 toys and clothing items for children in foster care in Newark, and children receiving services from DCPP Paterson, Oasis – A Haven for Women & Children, Ronald McDonald House, Jersey Battered Women’s Services, and others. There is an even greater need this year for children of all ages. Please consider donating.
