The Verona Municipal Alliance Committee (VMAC) is sponsoring a free family movie night on the lawn in front of Town Hall next Wednesday, August 17.
The movie is Disney’s 2016 animated film “Zootopia,” which is a police buddy movie done with animals.
VMAC says there will be free snacks at the screening and that there will also be an ice cream truck on hand. Moviegoers should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. The movie begins at 8 p.m.
The all-volunteer VMAC supports programs to educate the community about underage use and abuse of alcohol and other substances. VMAC sponsors Verona’s twice-yearly homework-free Family Nights as well as Safe Homes, where families pledge to not allow underage alcohol and drug use in their homes or on their property.
