The Smith Center for Infectious Diseases and Urban Health is partnering with the Township of Verona to offer free COVID-19 tests to Verona and Cedar Grove residents. No insurance is necessary, and residents with or without symptoms are encouraged to get tested.

A drive-through testing site will be open on Wednesday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Verona Community Pool, 257 Fairview Avenue. Drivers must enter the site using the main one-way entrance and proceed down the driveway to the testing area. Please follow signage and directions once on site.

Appointments are required and can be obtained by calling the Township of Verona at 973-857-4767 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Fifty appointments will be scheduled each half hour for a total of 400 tests. The type of tests will be naso-pharangeal or nasal, depending on which is available.

You must wear a facemask and do not exit your vehicle while at the site.

All testing is made possible through the generosity of private donors.

The NJ Department of Health especially recommends that vulnerable populations, people who think they may have been exposed to a known case, first responders and essential frontline workers all be tested.

Please visit smithcovidtesting.com for additional testing sites in our area. If you would like to donate, please email [email protected] or smithcovidtesting.com.
