Verona residents are doing a lot of careful grocery shopping these days. So maybe it was their focus on having a mask and gloves on before going for the Cottonelle that kept them from immediately recognizing that Fred Goode’s April 23 photo for “Doors Of Verona” was Kings Food Markets in Pilgrim Plaza.  It took 11 guesses from all over our readership before Michelle Rollick came up with the winning answer, beating out Sarah Wynne by a few short minutes.

For her guess, Michelle won a $25 gift certificate to Frank Anthony’s. Its hours of operation have been changed  by the pandemic, but you can still order delicious food for pickup and delivery,

Kings is well known for its support of the community, from Verona Fights Hunger Week to local food banks. Kings was the first supermarket in our area to reserve the first hour of its day for seniors and first responders during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. Kings CEO, Judy Spires, is asking customers to take a moment at 1:00 p.m. each day, whether they are in the store or not, to applaud Kings workers for their service during the pandemic.

And now it’s on to the April 24 photo of “Doors Of Verona” posted above. Today’s winner will get a gift certificate from the Fred Hill Sports Academy. Put your guesses in the Comments box below and remember: If you’ve won already, you can’t win again.
