Doors Of Verona: April 19

It should be a good day for a walk, Verona. A good day to go out (walking six feet apart for social distancing) and really study all the front doors of businesses in Verona. It could help you to guess today’s location–the photo above–and it might give you a leg up on the week ahead. Today’s winner will be playing for a $25 gift certificate from Verona Opticians, which has been offering eye care and stylish eye wear in the center of town for almost 10 years.

The correct guess for Doors Of Verona: April 18 was Diamond Gymnastics. After first guessing that the photo was the front door of Terry’s, the Nagy family quickly regrouped and delivered the winning answer. (Terry’s closed last summer after 85 years in Verona.) For their winning guess, the Nagys will get a selection of soaps from one of Verona’s newest home-based businesses, Stoneclean Soap.

Located in the Pilgrim Plaza Shopping Center, Diamond Gymnastics offers a wide range of movement and gymnastics classes for elementary and middle school-aged girls and boys. It’s closed now because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, but when it is open, it also normally operates party spaces and a summer camp.

Because of COVID-19, photographer Fred Goode can’t do the type of photo contest that he perfected in our original “Where In Verona Is It?” contest, so he’s decided to stump you with photos of the front doors of Verona businesses. Where is today’s door? If you know, put your guess into the comments box below.  Each day’s contest remains open until we have a winner.
