Essex County COVID-19 Cases For April 2: Verona 33

Essex County officials said that, as of 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, there were a total of 2,607 people testing positive for the novel coronavirus COVID-19, 1,927 people testing negative and 65 deaths. There are a total of 33 cases in Verona now.

West Caldwell registered its first death. The West Caldwell Police Department announced the passing of James Brown, the principal of Caldwell’s Grover Cleveland Middle School.
