To The Editor:

The Verona Fire Department held its annual Santa Day on Sunday, December 15.

Santa rides on top of our engines, and his elves go street to street spreading Christmas spirit with candy canes for all and doggy treats for Verona’s four-legged residents. Along the way, the VFD also had another successful food drive, collecting donations of non-perishable food to benefit the food pantry at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit.

The Verona Fire Department would like to thank all of the residents who came out to share in the festivities and especially for the overwhelming generosity and support by the community with the annual food drive.

Happy holidays from the Verona Fire Department!
