Ms. Abigail Greenbank, 64, died on August 18, 2019 in Cedar Grove. Private services were held. Condolences may be left at Prout Funeral Home.
Born in Barberton, Ohio, Ms. Greenbank was a lifelong resident of Verona. She earned a B.A. in psychology from William Paterson University and a master’s degree in psychology from Montclair State University. She worked as a social worker for the government. Ms. Greenbank was a proud animal rights and animal safety activist.
Abigail had an up-beat personality and was very creative. She was devoted to her niece and nephew, always thinking up games for them when they were young. Abby (as her family and friends knew her) was also good neighbor. She was a brave, unforgettable person.
She was predeceased by her father, Thomas K. Greenbank.
Ms. Greenbank is survived by her mother, Rosemary Greenbank (nee Persiani); sister, Martha Sharer (James); nephew, Jesse Kolbert and niece, Cory Anne Greenbank Sharer; and partner, Charles Callaway.
