Earlier this month, we told you about Daniela Amato, a Verona business owner who is also the author of a children’s book about being vegan. We’ve just learned that Amato will be reading from her book, If it Was Me . . . A Child’s Journey Through Reflection, at the Verona Public Library on Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m. The event is geared for readers age 10 and up, and Amato will also give tips to potential writers and answer any questions about the book publishing process.

“I’ve always believed that children should have books that not just align with their current thinking but encourage them to think of something different,” said Amato, a mother of two who owns Healing Treatments Massage Studio, when we first wrote about her book.

There’s no need to register in advance for this event. The Verona Public Library’s full events calendar, which has activities for babies through senior citizens, is here.
