Tennis Lobs A Win On Senior Day

It was Senior Day yesterday for the Verona High School girls tennis team and the Lady Hillbillies came away with a big 4-1 win over Bloomfield.

Desiree Meyer, one of the team’s four seniors and its 2nd singles player, defeated Lila Matulac 6-0, 6-0. Fellow seniors Chloe Conway and Elyssia Yung, the 2nd doubles team, defeated Sophia Zaman and Amaya Brown 6-1, 6-2.

Verona also got wins from 3rd singles Ashley Baumgard, who beat Kaylee Prieto 6-3, 6-0, and the 1st doubles team of Gillian O’Donnell and Sara Sexton, who topped Priyal Gajera and Vanessa Chin 6-0, 6-0.
