Felicitas ZoppiMrs. Felicitas Zoppi, 68, died on June 16, 2018 in Hackensack. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona will be on Tuesday, June 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Born and raised in Gapan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Mrs. Zoppi lived in Tyler, Texas; Belleville and Bloomfield, N.J. before moving to Verona in 1982.

She successfully completed the nursing program at the University of the Philippines and was a registered nurse at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark for 35 years.

Mrs. Zoppi was a member of the Alumni Association of the University of the Philippines Nursing Program, the Divina Pastora Gapan Nueva Ecija Association, East Coast and enjoyed a lifetime of being a warm, outgoing social butterfly who was well liked by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Avelino and Simeona (nee Jacinto) Rico and sister, Arcile Cortez. Mrs. Zoppi was the wife of Robert S. Zoppi, Sr., mother of Christine Zoppi and Robert S. Zoppi, Jr. and sister of Mario Rico (Manette), William Rico (Fe), Mercedes Cortez (Abel), Nestor Rico, Maria Luz Mendolia (Sal) and Benedicto Rico (Joy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations to John Theurer Cancer Center, Leukemia Division, Hackensack University Medical Center would be appreciated.
