OLL TREPSJoin the seventh and eighth grade students of Our Lady of the Lake as they present the third annual TREP$ Marketplace. This year’s Marketplace will be held on Friday, May 12, at Our Lady of the Lake School, located at 26 Lakeside Avenue from 2:45 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The entire community is invited to come and see what happens when you give children the creative outlet and responsibility that comes with starting a business venture.

TREP$, a customized six-week program, teaches students how to plan, research and develop their own products and/or services. It encompasses 22 seventh and eighth graders, who will learn through various exercises leadership development skills, team dynamics, financial management and basic business tools to gain a greater understanding of entrepreneurship. The students will hear stories from local entrepreneurs and business leaders to learn the importance of financing a business and money matters.

The program is concluded when the students promote and sell their products and services during the highly attended TREP$ Marketplace. The TREPS Marketplace will bring together community: OLL’s students, teachers, parents, family and the residents of Verona where attendees can support these new established entrepreneurs of baked goods, art, jewelry, clothing and so much more.

“An entrepreneurial mind set is a key driver of our economy,” says Ben Ronquillo, principal, Our Lady of the Lake School. “We feel blessed to have such a devoted community of parents, business partners and volunteers to help us bring life to the TREP$ program at OLL and ignite ingenuity in our students’ minds.”
