The Friends of the Verona Public Library are hosting a “$3 a bag” book sale from August 29 through August 31. Over 1,000 newly donated fiction and non-fiction for adults and children are included. This is a fantastic opportunity for the public to purchase new reading material for rock-bottom prices! All of the books for sale were donated by the Verona community.
The sale will take place in the Jack Foley room in the Verona Public Library at 17 Gould Street. Friends of the Verona Public Library members are invited to shop first on Monday, August 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. New members are welcome to join at the door for $10 per individual, $15 per family. The sale opens to the public with free admission at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30 and is open until 8:30 p.m. On Wednesday, August 31, the sale is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Friends will provide customers with the bag to fill for this sale.
The Friends of the Verona Public Library raise over $5,000 a year from the sale of gently used books donated by the community. For questions about this sale and how you can help the Friends in its mission to support and promote the Library, contact President Christine McGrath at [email protected].
