Verona High School’s linemen participated in the 7-on-7 and strongman competitions at William Paterson University on Saturday June 18.
VHS fielded two squads for the 18-team competition, which features events like a timed tire flipping, a team tire carry, heavy bag carry and a tug of war. Verona’s squads finish second and fourth, after the lead team finished first in the preliminary round with a 4-0 record but lost to Roselle in the semifinals.
