christian-crossMrs. Marie E. (nee Solanto) Heaslip, died on April 29, 2016 in Livingston. Visiting will be held at the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Sunday, May 1 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass honoring her life will be offered at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona on Monday at 8:45 a.m.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Mrs. Heaslip lived in Verona for the past 51 years.

She worked as a bookkeeper for PC Staedler Company in Montclair for 20 years and was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Church, in particular, The Cursillo and Christian Family Movement (CFM).

Marie was an avid reader and New York Yankees fan, who especially enjoyed her annual pilgrimage to Lake George with her family.

Mrs. Heaslip was predeceased by her daughter, Virginia and son, Robert. She is survived by her devoted husband Richard J. Heaslip and loving sons, Richard Heaslip (Julia), Kenneth Heaslip (Debra) & Thomas Heaslip (Catherine) and loving daughter Lauren Orsini (Anthony) and 13 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the BBN Foundation, 358 5th Avenue, Suite 401, NYC, NY 10001 would be appreciated.
