Olivia Camuti and Monica Egnezzo, seventh and eighth grade students at H.B. Whitehorne Middle School, recently took home championship ribbons for riding.

The two, who train at the Essex Equestrian Center in West Orange, competed in an Interscholastic Equestrian Association show at Chesterfield Farm on Sunday October 4. Essex Equestrian makes it possible for riders to show and compete even if they don’t own or lease their own horses.

Camuti, who is in the future novice class won champion in her event and reserve high point middle school rider, and Egnezzo, who is in future intermediate, won reserved champion, as well as high point middle school rider for the whole show. The girls coaches are Alexandra Hird and Jennifer Griggs.
