The Minette’s Angels Foundation, a Verona-based non-profit that helps breast cancer patients and their families, will hold its annual fall cocktail fundraiser, a Celebration of Angels, on Sunday, October 25.
This year’s event, which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Villa at Mountain Lakes, will honor Louis LaSalle, the vice presidant for external affairs at Saint Barnabas Health Care System, and Verona native Robert Frungillo, who owns and directs Frungillo Caterers, one of New Jersey’s premier catering and hospitality companies. Cocktails, beer, wine and extensive hot and cold hors d’oeuvres will be served, and a variety of silent auctions will be available for bidding.
Tickets are $125 each, and proceeds will enable the Foundation to continue its mission, with a portion being donated to St. Barnabas Medical Center and the Breast Center at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center. Minette’s Angels, which was founded in 2004 to honor the memory of Verona resident and nurse Minette Grosso McKenna, provides assistance to those in treatment, supports research and promote breast health awareness. The foundation also offers scholarships to Verona students entering the medical field, especially nursing majors.
