Verona Artists Exhibit At Valley Hospital

“T is for TaylorArt” is the theme of an art exhibition in Ridgewood by two Verona artists that runs through the end of July. Award-winning artist and teacher, Ann C. Taylor, is joined by husband Allen Taylor in a two-artist exhibit of watercolor and pastel paintings in the Gallery at the Valley Hospital.

Ann C. Taylor teaches popular watercolor painting classes at the Livingston Arts Association. She has won over 60 awards including the Lettie Steinhart Award for Best Watercolor, West Essex Art Assn, and Best in Show at the Millburn-Short Hills Art Center. A past-president of the New Jersey Watercolor Society and Essex Water Color Club, Ann is a signature member of both, as well as the Garden State Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society and the Pastel Society of New Jersey. Other current and past memberships include Allied Artists of America, the Clifton Assn. of Artists, the Art Centre of New Jersey, the West Essex Art Assn. and the Millburn/Short Hills Arts Center.

Allen Taylor is a signature member of the New Jersey Water Color Society, the Garden State Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society, and an Exhibiting Member of Essex Water Color Club, New Jersey’s oldest watercolor association. He currently serves on the boards of the EWCC and the NJWCS. Other associations include the Art Centre of NJ and the New Jersey Society of En Plein Air Painters. Among honors for Allen Taylor are a First Place Award for Professional Watercolors at the Annual Essex County Senior Citizens Art Contest, Third Place at the Art Center of NJ Multimedia Members Show, the John A. Sullivan III Award at the West Essex Art Association, Awards of Excellence at Essex Watercolor Club and M-SHAC Exhibits.

Both Ann and Allen are contributing artists to the Verona Park Conservancy annual note cards fund-raiser. Their joint show, an exhibit of watercolor and pastel paintings, is on display in the Gallery at the Valley Hospital, 223 North Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood, through July 30.
