PhilipFestaPhilip A. Festa, 82, of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Normandy Beach, N.J. and formerly of Verona, passed away on March 29, 2015. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona, with an interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair. Visiting will be on Monday, April 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove Street, Montclair.

Phil was born and raised in Montclair before moving to Verona in 1960, and was a troubleshooter for the Newark Hall of Records for many years. Upon retirement, he enjoyed his summers in Normandy Beach and resided in West Palm Beach. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the 101st Airborne Division, and a member of the Unity Club of Verona.

Mr. Festa is survived by his wife of 60 years, Katheryn (nee Campas), his sons, Peter Festa and his wife Debbie, and Stephen Festa, two grandsons, Christopher James, and David Philip Festa, and by a sister, Lena Ambrose, and his brother Angelo Festa. He was predeceased by his daughter Diana Lynn Festa in 1973, his parents, Peter and Olympia (nee Corbo) Festa, and by his sister Dora Fandetta.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
