Machnowski Takes First In Bike Race

Machnowski-WaywayandaNina Machnowski, a Verona middle school student, took first place in Black Bear Cycling’s 11th annual “Spring Cleaning” mountain bike race in Wawayanda State Park this past weekend. Machnowski beat competitors who were more than twice her age with a time of 44:55.5 on the course, which was 5.5 miles of rocks and mud, with an 800-foot climb.
