Verona Levels Off Wayne Hills

Hoops-WayneHills1The Verona High School boys basketball team beat Wayne Hills on Monday 59-49, and 27 of the VHS points came from Alex Kaslander.

Kaslander, who also had three steals, was seconded by fellow senior Matt Braschi who had 10 points and five rebounds. Will Mulderry, who transferred to VHS this season, led Verona in rebounds with eight.

Verona is 2-0 heading into the holiday basketball tournament. It takes on West Essex at James Caldwell High School on Friday, December 27, at 1:30 p.m. The next game in the series will be at Cedar Grove High School on Saturday.
