Eleven-year-old Nina Machnowski from Verona won the first place in the 5th Annual Kids’ Mountain Bike Race on Saturday, April 27. The race was presented by Team Town Cycle at Jungle Habitat in West Milford.
Machnowski competed in the fourth and fifth grade girls’ category. The course was three miles of dirt, gravel roads and wooded singletrack. Medals were awarded to the top three in each race from kindergarten through fifth grade and every racer received a participation gift.
