Many of you have ordered luminary kits from the Verona Women’s Club for its 2013 Share Your Light Night fundraiser . They are slated to be delivered the weekend of November 17 and 18. But the club wants you to know that there is still time to order and participate.
On Share Your Light Night–Saturday, December 8– homes throughout the town will line the streets with luminaries, white bags slightly filled with sand to hold a candle that burns for six to eight hours. The Verona Women’s Club is calling for the luminaries to be lit at 5 p.m., creating a ribbon of light symbolizing neighborhood unity. The proceeds from the sale of the luminaries will help the Woman’s Club and Juniorettes of Verona provide community service through donations to both local and national charities and scholarships, enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others one project at a time.
Each luminary kit contains 10 white bags, 10 candles, and sand.The cost of each kit is $15, and kits can be obtained by downloading the form found at the Verona Women’s Club Web site or by calling Kathy Mortara at 973-239-9047 or Rose Ann Russo at 973-239-1837.
