At least one aspect of Verona’s sports infrastructure is starting the school year in good shape: The basketball court behind H.B. Whitehorne Middle School finally got a much-needed makeover in late summer.
Though the court is on school property, it is used by residents and students alike so $21,500 cost was funded out of town’s capital budget, not the school budget.
