Since so much of the action in Shrek takes place in and around a castle, it is entirely appropriate for it to be shown at a castle.
On Friday, September 7, you can take the kids to a free screening of Shrek outside at Verona’s own Kip’s Castle. The movie, which is being sponsored by Essex County’s Division of Cultural Affairs, starts at 7 p.m. Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs to sit on.
The rain date, if needed, is Saturday, September 8.
If you have not ever been to Kip’s Castle, it is located on Crestmont Road on Verona’s eastern ridge. The easiest way to get there is by turning off Pompton onto Nassau or Cambridge roads.
