Boys Basketball Rallies To Defeat Fairlawn

The Hillbillies boys basketball team battled back from an early first-quarter deficit to pull out a thrilling 52-49 win at Verona High School on Friday over Fairlawn High School. Down 27-22 at half time, the Maroon and White outscored Fairlawn 14-6 in the third quarter to pull ahead. The teams battled point for point in the fourth but the Hillbillies held on for a hard fought out-of-conference victory.

Sophomore Alex Kaslander led all scorers with 14 points. Senior captains Brian Farrell, Anthony Huber and Packy Malanga combined for 32 points in the effort. The Hillbillies record stands at 9-4.
