Caroline Mols of the Verona High School girls soccer team has been selected as the Verona Sports Boosters Senior Athlete of the Week. Mols, who has been a varsity starter for all four years at VHS, is a highly versatile player. Her team’s captain and known for her positive attitude, she settled in the back for defender line this season. Her team now stands at 4-4 and plays Bloomfield High School at Centennial Field today at 4 p.m.
Off the soccer field, Mols plays both basketball and lacrosse. Last spring, she was named second team in the New Jersey Junior Girls Lacrosse League Freedom Division. In hoops, her shooting and quickness on rebounds contributed to several victories last winter.
During the 2011-2012 school year, the Verona Sports Boosters will be recognizing a different senior athlete at Verona High School every week. The Boosters support male and female athletes in all VHS sports through a variety of fundraisers and recognition events.
