The Verona Rescue Squad will be holding its third blood drive for 2011 on Tuesday September 6, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Verona Rescue Squad Building located at 12 Church Street. Coordinator Mike Schumell says this is a special blood drive for the Rescue Squad because it will honor the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. “Please try to help us to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice on that tragic day and donate blood to someone who needs it the most,” says Schumell.
