Mrs. Jane M. McDonough, 84, died on Friday, August 26, 2011 in West Orange. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Tuesday, August 30 at 10 a.m. Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Born in Newark, Mrs. McDonough has lived in Verona for 75 years. She was a secretary for Pupil Services at the Montclair Board of Education for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She continued working after retirement in the Mother Joseph Residence Hall at Caldwell College.
Mrs. McDonough graduated from the Kenwood High School in Albany, NY and attended Manhattanville College. She was active in the Prayer Shawl Ministry at Our Lady of the Lake Church and enjoyed Bible Study.
Mrs. McDonough is the wife of the late Brian McDonough, the mother of Madeleine McDonough Nolan and her husband James, the grandmother of Christopher and Brian and the sister of the late Maurice Readey II.
