The Recreation Department has let us know that the kids’ track program has been canceled this afternoon because of the weather. The Verona Baseball & Softball League has also scratched its games.

However, the kids’ lacrosse games scheduled for Centennial Field are still on, as is the men’s softball league game. “The men were outside last  night and they were more than happy to be outside,” says Jim Cunningham, director of the Rec Department.

Whatever you do outside today, please keep an eye on the weather. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for our area, which is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight.
