The Verona Chapter of UNICO National will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary on Thursday June 16 at il Tulipano in Cedar Grove. National President Christopher DiMattio will install the chapter’s officers for the 2011-12 year. The Chapter will also be honoring its UNICAN of the Year, Santi Condorelli, for his efforts in chairing the club’s major fundraiser, the Labor Day 5k Classic.

Over the past 40 years, Verona UNICO has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to local graduating seniors as well as donated many thousands of dollars to local charities and organizations.

Dinner chair John Alati invites all past members of the Chapter to join in the celebration. If you would like to attend, please send him an e-mail. Tickets for the event are $70 per person and include a lavish Italian dinner, 4-hour open bar, live entertainment and dancing.

UNICO is the largest Italian American service organization in the country. For further information about UNICO, contact Chapter President Linda-Gail Alati at 973-857-4530 or by e-mail.
