Veronan’s Movie Jumps The Box Office

Arlene Gibbs’ movie “Jumping the Broom” had to go up against “Thor” this weekend, and it seems to have held its own. According to the blog Deadline Hollywood, Jumping The Broom brought in $15.2 million on its debut weekend, and had a 13% jump in ticket sales on Mother’s Day from Saturday. Sony Pictures must also be pretty happy with the more than 230,000 people who have added the movie to their Facebook favorites.
