Children Having Individual Learning Differences (C.H.I.L.D.) is hosting a free workshop Tuesday, February 15, at 7 p.m. at the Verona Community Center Ballroom entitled “Bullying and Students with Disabilities.” Licensed attorney Evelina Padilla will discuss bullying in schools and the special challenges students with disabilities face. Ms. Padilla will discuss ways bullying can be addressed through a student’s IEP, social skills training, counseling, and other strategies. Ms. Padilla specializes in providing legal representation to persons with disabilities and their families. She has extensive experience in special education and children’s issues.
