Obituaries: Anne R. Kreuder

Ms. Anne R. Kreuder, 78, died on Sunday, January 2, 2011 in West Caldwell.

Graveside Services will be held in the Garden View Section of Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Avenue, East Hanover on Wednesday, January 5 at 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Cranes Mill in West Caldwell on Sunday, January 16 at 1:30 p.m.

Born in Glen Ridge, Ms. Kreuder lived in Verona for 66 years, moving to West Caldwell in 1998. She graduated from the William Smith College with a degree in math and worked as a software engineer for Honeywell International in Teterboro for 24 years, retiring in 1994.

Ms. Kreuder served as Church Clerk, Council Member and Sunday School Teacher at the First Congregational Church of Verona and as a Deacon and Elder at the Presbyterian Church of West Caldwell.

She also was active in the Women’s Club of Verona, the West Essex Women’s Club, the West Caldwell Historical Society and served on the Residents Council and was the Newsletter Editor at Cranes Mill in West Caldwell.

She is the sister of Sophie Pitt, the late Paul Kreuder and the late Caril Meeks. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Samaritan Fund of Cranes Mill, 459 Passaic Avenue, West Caldwell NJ 07006 would be appreciated.
