Verona High School has announced that 20 students at have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on advanced placement exams.
The AP program lets students take college-level courses while still in high school and earn college credit, advanced placement, or both, for their exam results. The results below for Verona are quite an achievement: Only about 18% of the more than 1.8 million students who took AP exams did well enough to earn an award. Here’s who earned what:
AP Scholar with Distinction (average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken; score of 3 or higher on five or more exams): Alex Eliasof, Emma McFarland, Bina Nayee, Erin Percevault, John Reed, Nicole Robertson, Jessica Sam.
AP Scholar with Honor (average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken; scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams): Tess Langan, Kate McGinley, Rebecca Thompson, Victoria Yeh.
AP Scholar (completed three or more exams with scores of 9 or higher): Logan Bronson, Claire DuLaney, Jody Freinkel, Melanie Goldstein, Michael Gomes, Noah Herman, Evan Lewis, Jessica Noyes, Tedi Rosenstein
