Verona native and Miami Dolphins tight end Anthony Fasano joined with Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. to greet clients at a Newark food distribution program on Sunday, June 27. Fasano and DiVincenzo worked with Feed the Children, Catholic Charities, La Casa de Don Pedro, Newark Emergency Services for Families and the United Community Corporation to distribute food and personal care items to almost 1,200 families.

The outreach came just one day ahead of the start of Fasano’s third annual charity golf tournament to benefit the Reed Academy, a Bergen County-based school for children with autism. Fasano will be joined on the links by Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys, Brandon Jacobs of the New York Giants and Jamaal Westerman of the New York Jets, among other professional athletes. The school broke ground on a new facility earlier this month, funded in part by the work of the Anthony Fasano Foundation.
