The Master Gardeners of Essex County will hold a class next Monday, June 28, on the basics of creating a small garden for vegetables and salad. Participants will learn to grow and harvest tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers this year. The class, which is adults only, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Essex County Environmental Center, and costs $8 per person. You’ve got to register in advance by calling 973-228-8776.
