Exuberant? You bet.

This has been quite a year for the Verona Boys’ Tennis team, as they proved once again in their semifinals match against Leonia on Thursday. It was top-seeded Verona all the way to a 5-0 win, with strong play from what has been a strong team.

In first singles, Verona’s Paul Corrente, defeated Andy Lee 6-2, 6-2. Mike Streifer followed with a second singles win over Iddo Choi 6-3, 6-3, while Noah Herman, trounced Eugene Kang 6-0, 6-0.

In first doubles, the Verona duo of Will Schenkel and Matt Tuorto, defeated Paul Chung and John Han 6-1, 6-0. Brian Farrell and Mack Kirby dispatched their opponents, June Park and Danny Moon, in similar fashion.

Verona is now 17-5-0 on the season.
