Doreen Arminio has only lived in Verona for three years, but she qualifies as a long-time resident by marriage. Her husband, Joe Arminio, was born and raised here, along with his large extended family. And Doreen has fallen in love with the town along with her husband.
Together, the Arminios run a nationally renowned entertainment company, Joey Arminio & “The Family”, of which Doreen is the artistic director, lead singer, dancer and marketing director. She is an active member of the Verona Chamber of Commerce and can be seen co-hosting the chamber’s TV show, “The Round Table”, with Tom Malanga of Sonny’s on the Avenue. She also dedicates much of her time to the Junior Women’s Club of Verona, a volunteer organization that raises money for local and international needs.
As a writer, Doreen has contributed to the Communicator in Brick Township, N.J., with a monthly column called “Music Matters”, focusing on local musicians and related issues. She has also written and recorded several original songs.
Always interested in Verona people and events, Doreen quickly became a devoted fan of MyVeronaNJ.com, and jumped at the opportunity to become part of the growing company. We’re going to give her plenty to do as our ad sales director: We’ll be upgrading the site very soon to expand our advertising opportunities to match our large readership. There will be more spots for button ads and new spots for banners and other large-format ads. If you want to learn more, drop Doreen an e-mail, or look for her around town.
